EBMfest 2008 needs volunteers!
This year EBMfest has two volunteer positions for stage hands/assistants. People interested in helping with load-in, set up of band gear and just helping the bands in general throughout the night are requested to email ebm@ciut.fm with your full name, contact information and related experience.
Those with experience in live bands, live sound are encouraged to apply.
A modest stipend of $50 will be provided at the end of the night for your help.
Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided as well as backstage access.
Volunteers are required to be available on Sunday August 31,2008 from 1:30pm to 3:30 am. There will be breaks throughout the night since there are intervals when help is not required.
People living near the area of The Reverb Club, 651 Queen Street West are encouraged to apply, but outside folks are also very welcome.
And of course your are welcome to enjoy the live performances throughout the night while you wait for tear down of each set!
Any age may apply but this position is best suited for 16+ as heavy lifting (30-60lbs) is required of you!

DJ and Band Line up this Year
This year's EBMfest 2008 is small and consequently both artist and dj line up is on an invite basis... as we grow in future years... i will open the forum to open invitation for both djs and artists and try to book some interesting talent based on experience and genuine interest in the event....
I have been sort of back and forth on the growth of this event for many reasons...
have listened to alot of opinions on what it should and should not be but feel confident now in organizing this event and growing it over the next years...
So definitely keep in touch and watch out for details about the future of EBMfests if you wish to get involved and participate!

tickets for the upcoming ALL AGES show of Imperative Reaction/SITD/AP w/Soundgazer will be on sale at EBMfest 2008 free of service charges for $20CAD/USD advance, so if you are in the area and want to come out to the Concert event of Canadian Thanksgiving Weekend in T.O. (Sunday October 12th) definitely check in at doors @ EBMfest to get your tickets....
